IMPORTATION OF WILDLIFE FROM CHINA INTO HONG KONG

1. Mr Victor Goodhew MP has written to Lord Goronwy-Roberts enclosing a further letter which he has received from one of his constituents about cruelty to wildlife imported from China into Hong Kong.

2. Mr Goodhew's letter crossed Lord Goronwy-Roberts' reply of 31 May to an earlier enquiry from the same constituent, Mr Pakenham. The latest letter from Mr Pakenham does not raise any new questions and I suggest that Lord Goronwy-Roberts should now send a brief reply to Mr Goodhew, referring to his own earlier letter.
