Your letter of 25 January to the Minister of State at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, enclosing a letter from your constituent Mrs. 0. M. Hume of 48, Oakfield Avenue, Kenton, Harrow, has been passed to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for reply. Mrs. Hume's letter raises questions about the slaughter of cattle in Hong Kong.
Mr. Blaker has asked me to let you know that we are consulting the Governor of Hong Kong and will send a full reply as soon as we hear from him.
Meanwhile, I am returning Mrs. Hume's letter.
