Dear Mrs Spicer
The
1. I have been asked to reply to your letter of 12 December 1973 about the Endangered Species Bill introduced into Parliament by Lord Wynne Jones. Bill has been lost with the dissolution of Farliament, but it is recognised that there is a great deal of support in this country for measures to protect endangered fauna and flora, and your support for the Bill has been noted.
2.
You also mentioned the trade in live animals and
birds between Hong Kong and China. This issue is being considered by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and I have sent a copy of your letter to them and they will be writing to you in due course.
Yours faithfully
