I enclose a letter dated 7th December which has been sent to me by Mr. and Mrs. Shaw of Knowles Fold, School Green, Thornton, Bradford, Yorkshire about cruelty to animals and birds in Hong Kong.

I do not know whether our Government can do anything to stop this cruelty to which Mr. and Mrs. Shaw refer, but I thought you would like me to bring the matter to your attention.
