EEC: HONG KONG TEXTILES

1. I enclose copies of a self-explanatory letter addressed to the President of the Commission by the European Trade Union Committee for the Textiles, Clothing and Leather Industries and minuting on this subject. Before we decide what action to take, we should like to know whether the letter has been distributed by the Council Secretariat (as occasionally happens in such cases as this). If so, we should probably want to consider a counter-blast. let the matter lie.
