October about proposals for the sale and promotion of proof sets of certain Hong Kong coins.

The discussions with Mr McGrath of WCCI were conducted by the Accountant General, Douglas Blye, who is on leave until December. Blye is our expert on coinage and we would not wish to take any decision, one way or the other, on this matter until there has been an opportunity to consult him. In view of what you say, however, I agree that we should take another look at WCCI's proposals and we will hold things on ice until after Blye's return. Thereafter, I will let you know what we eventually decide.
