To
Amend the Employment Ordinance.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Employment (Amend- Short title. ment) (No. 2) Ordinance 1974.
2.
Section 3(2)(a) of the principal Ordinance is amended by Amendment inserting after "(a)" the following-
"subject to subsection (2) of section 20H,".

3. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after Addition of Part III, the following new Part-

SEVERANCE PAYMENTS
20B. In this Part and the Third Schedule, unless the context otherwise requires-
"business" includes a trade or profession and any
activity carried on by a person;
"cease" means cease either permanently or temporarily and from whatsoever cause, and "diminish" has a corresponding meaning;
"domestic servant" includes
a garden servant, chauffeur and boat-boy and any other personal servant of a like nature;
"Labour Tribunal" means the Labour Tribunal established under section 3 of the Labour Tribunal Ordinance;
"lock-out" has the meaning assigned to it by section.
2 of the Trade Unions Ordinance;
"outworker" means a person to whom for reward articles or materials are given out to be made up, cleaned, washed, altered, ornamented, finished or repaired, or adapted for sale, in his own home
