(c) by inserting after paragraph (c) the following

new paragraph

"(d) where the accident happens on or

after the 1st day of July 1974, be

a sum equal to forty-eight months'

earnings or eighty thousand dollars,

whichever is less:

Provided that in no case shall

the sum payable under this paragraph

be less than twelve thousand eight

hundred dollars.".

Amendment

of section 8.

5. Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is amended

by deleting subsection (4) and substituting the following-

shall

"(4) Compensation payable under this section

(a)

where the accident happens before the

1st day of July 1974, not exceed twenty-

four thousand dollars;

(b) where the accident happens on or after

the 1st day of July 1974, not exceed

thirty-two thousand dollars.".
