Amendment

of section 4.

(Cap. 57.)

Addition of Part IVA.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Employment (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance 1974.

2. Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended in subsection (2) by deleting "This Ordinance" and substituting the following-

"Subject to Part IVA, this Ordinance".

The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after Part

IV, the following new Part-

PROTECTION AGAINST ANTI-UNION DISCRIMINATION

21A. (1) Notwithstanding section 4(2)(a), sec-

of Part IVA. tion 21B shall apply to every employee whether or not he is employed by way of manual labour and whether or not his wages exceed $2,000 per month.

(2) Section 21C shall apply to every person to whom an offer of employment is made or is about to be made or who otherwise is, or is in the position of, a prospective employee, whether or not the employment is to be by way of manual labour and whether or not the wages offered or to be offered exceed $2,000 per month.
