An Ordinance to amend the Multi-storey Buildings (Owners
Incorporation) Ordinance.
[2nd August, 1974]
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice
and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1.
This Ordinance may be cited as the Multi-storey Build- Short title.
ings (Owners Incorporation) (Amendment) Ordinance 1974.
2. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding, after Addition of section 2, the following new section-
"Ordinance
new section 2A.
2A. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Ordinance (Cap. 344.)
not to apply shall not apply where-
in certain
cases.
(a) a person has given an undertaking in writing to, or has entered into an agreement with, the Government to manage or be responsible for the management of a building; and
(b) the undertaking or agreement has been
registered in the Land Office.
(2) This Ordinance shall apply in respect of a building referred to in subsection (1) only if there is registered in the Land Office a certificate by the Colonial Secretary that the Government has no objec- tion to the appointment of a management committee under this Ordinance.".
