I am very conscious that, while your recent telograms have been addressed to mo personally, our replies have boen in strictly official form. This, of course, has boen because the decisions wo have reached have been those of IMG, rathor than of mycolf alone. Tut it does not mean that I have not boon involved in all this, or that I do not fully go along with the line we have taken.
But I thought I would just send you this lino so say how sorry I am that there should have been some (shall I cal it?) lack of harmony botwoon us. I really do think that the arrangements which we have described to you are fair. and I hope that, on roflection, you will recognise that they are not too ummasonable.
Like you, we have problems of public accountability to think of!
