Mr Dinwiddy (HKIOD)

MEETING WITH THE GOVERNOR OF HONG KONG WEDNESDAY 18 DECEMBER

J 1.

We have heard from Lawrence O'Keefe to the effect that he will be unable to attend either the talks or the lunch on the above date. This presents no problem. The lunch will now number 12 instead of 13. I will leave it to you tonotify IAD.

2. Now that Mr Ennals, and presumably his PS, will attend the talks, I think it would be difficult for us to cope in the Minister's room. I understand that the India Office Council Chamber is free that day so I have made a provisional booking with Mr Potter MA 165. I should be grateful if you would confirm this with him. He will arrange the necessary seating and name cards on instruction from you. Could × HKICD run to financing coffee at, say, 11 a.m?
