1. You asked us to provide some briefing material for Lord Brayley's forthcoming visit to Hong Kong.
2. I enclose a general background brief. This includes a short note on Hong Kong's defence contribution, although I appreciate that this may be superfluous in the light of the briefs being prepared by MOD. I also enclose an annotated list of the members of Hong Kong's Executive and Legislative Councils as at 30 June 1974. I understand that there may have been some changes since that date with the retirement of Rodriques, Clague and Ross from EXCO and Szeto, Wong, Ann and Mowbray from LEGCO. However I am afraid the Governor has not yet confirmed to us the names of his new appointments.
