1974 ASIAN GAMES

1. Thank you for your letter of 28 December.

2. An Iranian delegation representing the Organising Committee of the Seventh Asian Games is planning to visit Hong Kong from 2-5 March. The purpose of the visit is to hand over to the Amateur Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong the Iranian official invitation to the Seventh Asian Games. I enclose a copy of a letter which the Organising Committee has sent to the Iranian Consulate General in Hong Kong regarding this visit which you may wish to pass on to the President of the Amateur Sports Federation and Olympic Committee.

3. Although we have informed the Organising Committee, that Hong Kong should not be referred to as a'country it might be useful if this were impressed on the Head of the Iranian delegation when they visit Hong Kong in early March.
