I have the honour to inform you that, following receipt of your telegram No. 140 dated 6th February 1974, I have appointed Mr. D. W. McDonald, J. P. to be an Official Member of the Legislative Council from 8th February 1974 until 30th June 1974, both days inclusive.

Mr. McDonald has been a provisional member of the Legislative Council on one previous occasion while he was acting as Director of Public Works.
