I have the honour to inform you that I have appointed Mr.

J. D. McGregor, ISO, JP, provisionally, and subject to Her Majesty's pleasure, to be an Official Member of the Legislative Council with effect from 3rd April 1974.

This will be Mr. McGregor's first appointment to the Council. He will act as Director of Commerce and Industry during the absence of Mr. D. H. Jordan who will in turn act as Financial. Secretary during the absence of Mr. C. P. Haddon - Cave from about 23rd April until the beginning of June.
