The Civil Consortium is now reinforced in its view that

the British Group's June proposals are the most realistic

approach to the problem and are in the true interests of

both Client and Contractor. The main reasons are as

follows:

First

Earliest possible start and earliest

possible revenue earning and completion

of Stages 1 4.

Second

Full knowledge by the Client, at all

stages, of progress and costs to date

and projected total cost and programme.

Third

The common interest of both parties in

minimising cost and making whatever

acceptable changes commend themselves

for this purpose.

Fourth

The guarantee that the Contractor will

see the job through to completion in the

fastest practicable manner consistent

with economy.
