Drug-smuggle report denied
Hong Kong authorities have denied Press
The Sunday Times and elsewhere, reports, in that a US Congressional com- mittee report on drug-trafficking "blamed the British-run Hong Kong police for the failure of attempis to stop the flow of drugs Juto the US," writes Richard Hughes.
In fact, the Congressional re- port levels tais accusation, not against Hong Kong, but Thailand. The erroneous reports arose from a news agency mistake.
