Hong Kong Festival 1973
In my letter of 30 November I said we would consider what support from the UK it would be practical to give for the 1973 Tattoo. The Committee on Special Ceremonies has now examined the possibilities; and I am writing to let you know the result.

First of all, I am afraid that the prohibitive cost of transport must rule out our sending the RN Yield Guz Teams, the King's Troop RHA and the Red Arrows, whose aircraft will in any case be being overhauled in November. But provided that our costs are covered and an aircraft is available the following contingents can be considered:

(a) ARM band of about 24
(b) Royal Signals Motorcycle Team of 32 (25 motorcycles) (c) The Falcons Parachute Team of 25.
