Mr. Wong Shiu Cheuk, president of the H.K. and Kowloon Kaifong Assn. Ltd. said, "I am planning to launch a million people signature drive to restore capital punishment."
Mr. Wai Min, president of the Wong Tai Sin Kaifong Assn. said, "The British Government has no thorough understanding of H.K. and citizens should support the signature drive."
Mr. Liu Ho-ng, chairman of the H.K. & Kowloon Joint Kaifong Research Council said, "H.K. should have the right to make decisions for its own benefits."
Mr. Edmund Chow, Urban Councillor said, "Announcement of the reprieve was not made at the right time. The signature drive will have my full support."
Mrs. Elsie Elliott, Urban Councillor said, "Capital punishment is not the beat way to deter crime, improvement of education will be more effective."
