on Chiu yesterday. the Judge said: Look at these scrapers. They Have a pointed sale which is needle ship. The blade is six- inch long with three sharp anges. It is a terrible weapon and, in my opinion, some other type of tool could and should be used to scrape paint and
rust.
"Personally, I should like to are the authorities take steps to han the manufacture and sale of this of scrapers."
Ope He also sentenced Chiu and Tsang each to six and a half years' jail for robo try.
Chil's robbery sentence was 10 ΓΚΑ concurrent with the manslaughter one.
Nr Commissioner Morley- John
noted that armed. robberies had reached alarming proportions in the Colony, and srid that those perpetrating such crimes must expect long sentences of imprisonment.
Fie stressed that he was not considering the fact that a man was killed during this robbery when deciding the sentence.
"But this is a bad case when innocent citizens were peacefully playing mahjong in their home and you burst in up them. You were masked, armed with these vicious triangular scrapers, and you robbed them.
He said such a case must warrant a deterrent sentence.
