Amend the Training Centres Ordinance.

ANNEX D TO XCR (73)90

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice

and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Training

Centres (Amendment) Ordinance 1973.

Amendment of section 4. (Cap. 280.)

2.

Section 4(2) of the principal Ordinance is

amended by deleting "nine" and substituting the following

"six".

Explanatory Memorandum.

The purpose of this Bill is to reduce the

minimum period of detention of a person sentenced to be

detained in a training centre from nine months to six

months.
