Amend the Criminal Procedure Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice

and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

Short title and commence- ment.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Criminal

Procedure (Amendment) Ordinance 1973 and shall come into

operation on a date to be appointed by the Governor by

notice in the Gazette.

2. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding

sections 1091 after section 109H the following heading and sections - and 109J.

(Cap. 221.)

109I. (1) Where a person who is not less

than 25 years of age -

(a) is convicted before a court of an

offence punishable with imprisonment

for a term of 2 years or more (here-

inafter referred to as "the present

(b) has been convicted on at least 3
