now in a different league, what with the enlargement and the impending new multilateral arrangement. So the solution must surely lie in a regional approach to whatever problems can be shown to exist. Far from being non-communautaire, it seems to me that this approach would actually facilitate the creation of a true common market if it were to result in different
growth rates (i.e. concurrent natural and controlled growth) gradually smoothing out the uneven import pattern.
By all means let us get together soon for an informal chat on this whole business. Are you to be in Geneva for the multilateral negotiations in October or November? If so, perhaps we could manage it then, or I could stop off in London on one of these visits.
