1. I write to confirm that a meeting will be held at the above time in Mr Stuart's room, K246.

2. At the meeting we shall discuss Sir P Reilly's letter of 4 December to the PUS. This is Sir F Reilly's second letter following his visit to Japan and Hong Kong in October. I attach a copy of that letter, together with a copy of the letter sent by Anthony Part and of Sir T Brimelow's letter, both of which were in answer to Sir P Reilly's original letter of 31 October. As I understand you have a copy of Sir P Reilly's original letter I shall not, in the interest of economy, enclose a further copy but if you need one please let me know.
