Whereas, following a certain request, it has become apparent that it

would be desirable for the German Government that an increase be effec-

ted in the specific ceiling E 4 (men's and boys' trousers and breeches ow woven fabric) set in confidential letter No 4 annexed to the Agree-

ment, so that additional quantities may be imported into the Communi-

ty;

Whereas the measures provided for in this Decision are in accordance

with the Opinion of the Quota Administration Committee, which met on

16 April 1973;

HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION :

Article 1

The specific ceiling within Group II for category E 4 products (men s and boys trousers and breeches of woven fabric) provided for in con- fidential letter No 4 annexed to the Agreement on Trade in Cotton Tex- tiles concluded on 22 July 1971 between the European Economic Communi-

ty and Hong Kong is autonomously increased for the period from 31 De- cember 1973 from 2 880 to 4 130 metric tons.

The amount of the increase aforesaid shall be available for use only in so far as corresponding unused quantities out of other specific ceilings within that same Group II are transferred to the E 4 ceiling.

Article 2

This Decision is addressed to all ember States.
