This is incidentally the only comment of any significance we have noticed in the press over the past week on this subject of Sterling. No doubt everybody is now holding back at least until Phillip Haddon-Cave returns from the Mass Transit System talks in London and possibly until after the announcement of whatever decisions the Treasury may reach. There may however be another spate of comment and "advice" to Haddon-Cave before he goes to the Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting in Dar es Salaam where the press are already suggesting it may be left to him to make the pace on behalf of all holders of Sterling.
