SPONSORED VISIT BY MEMBERS OF HONG KONG URBAN COUNCIL

1. We spoke on 14 September about the revised programme for the visit by the Urban Council Members. In case you have not seen it, I attach for your information a copy of a minute by

Mr Crowson dated 25 September confirming that Mr Royle would like to give the group lunch on 22 October.

2. We are working on a guest list for this lunch party and if you have any suggestions I should be glad to receive them. We are thinking of including Mr Bicknell, Head of Tours Division COI. Is there somebody fairly senior on the GLC who could be invited: it might be a small gesture in return for all the arrangements the GLC are constantly making for visitors from Hong Kong.

3. You asked me to inform you of the date fixed for Mr Wright's dinner for the group. I confirmed with Miss Adams on 2 August that this would in fact take place on 23 October.
