1.

Mr Royle has said he will be happy to host a lunch on

22 May in honour of her and Mrs Lawrence Kadoorie.

2.

House

Unfortunately neither Marlborough House nor Admiralty

will be free on that day. I understand that Mr Royle will wish to

select a restaurant. Once this is done Information Administration

Department will be able to go ahead with the arrangements.

3. Personnel Services Department, who will settle the account

for up to 24 persons have asked that the cost be limited to £7

per head.

4. I attach a list of suggested guests. This complies with

the regulations which lay down that at least half should be non-

official. Sir A Weinstock who is looking after some of Mr

Kadoorie's arrangements, regrets that he has a long standing

prior engagement. Although GEC have arranged for Mr Kadoorie's

Concorde flight without having to call on Mr Royle's good offices

I suggest that Sir G and Lady Edwards should be included.

have checked with the Hong Kong Government Office that they know

of no other distinguished visitors who will be in London from

Hong Kong at that time apart from r Denys Roberts, the Colonial

Secretary Designate. Mr Roberts will be on leave, however, and

is expected to be in Dorset then.
