Mr Royle's office say that Mr Royle is giving a dinner party on 5 June for both Mr Y K Pao and K Kan from Hong Kong. They are both coming without their wives but Mr Royle wishes to give a dinner for about 40 people including wives.

Y K Pao has been asked to produce a list of people whom he would like to be invited. Mr Royle's office have asked this Department to produce a further list of about 30 people, which they can compare with Mr Pao's & produce a composite list.

Private Office would like the list as soon as possible.
