ECGD facilities are available for Taiwan but are not

published. Cover for credit up to 6 months is available

without restriction as in other creditworthy markets and

ECGD have about £6m at risk in Taiwan on such business.

Cover for longer credit is also available within limits

and there is currently about £26m at risk.

British firms are currently bidding with some chance

of success for two large projects in Taiwan: a railway

electrification project worth £75m and a share in a £150m

steel plant.
