6 There are no restrictions on Hong Kong exports to the UK of wool or
knitted cotton textiles, or of man-made fibre textiles (other than woven
polyester/cotton). In the negotiation of the GATT multi-fibre agreement,
there has been an identity of view between the UK and Hong Kong in looking
for a closer definition of the circumstances in which it is permissible to
control trade.
