Out of Station Training

1.

Background. Units in Hong Kong will carry out at least one period of 4-6 weeks out of country training every 2 years.

2. Countries Visited. The following countries are visited annually by minor units based in Hong Kong:-

a.

Australia

twice annually

b.

New Zealand

twice annually

C.

Fiji

normally twice annually

d.

Brunei

up to eight times annually for jungle warfare training.

Lalaysia occasionally when there is a short fall of a UK based minor unit on jungle training at Pulada (ULU TIRAM).

3. Programme of Exercises. Programmes covering HK based overseas exercises during 1972/73 and 1973/74 are attached at Annexes A and B respectively.
