It was extremely kind of you to send me such useful information prior to the visit Walter Clegg and I made to Hong Kong. We returned yesterday.

I feel there is really little point in writing to you at length about the visit in that I am well aware you will be fully conversant with most of the problems that were put to us during the course of last week. Perhaps it is as well if I were to emphasise that two of these came up with great regularity. The first of these needless to say was Godber and the second Hong Kong's disadvantageous position with regard to textiles and footwear and the E.E.C.

The week was most interesting and at some time I would very much appreciate a word with you about it.
