Dear Dick,
You spoke to me the other day about M.P's visits. By now you should have received EXCO Paper XCC(73)45 which list the Labour Members who have been approved for 1973; the Conservative list was in XCC(73)29 which was considered at the meeting held on 3rd April 1973.
Having got these approved lists, Bush of the Hong Kong Association gets in touch with the M.P's and issues the invitation. If one of the approved Members is unable to accept, he goes down the reserve list until he finds someone who is able to accept. Bush then notifies me and I write to the Members who have accepted the invitation, arrange a meeting to discuss the sort of programme they would like to have arranged for them and pass on the information to Hong Kong where the Director of Frotocol makes the necessary arrangements.
Yous ever,
Michael
