LETTER TO MR ROYLE FROM DAME JOAN VICKERS MP

1. I spoke to Mr Davies about the attached letter from

Dame Joan Vickers to Mr Royle. Dame Joan, who is to lead

a Parliamentary delegation to China in November, asks

whether accommodation could be arranged for the group

during this short stopover in Hong Kong en route for

Peking.

2. We agreed that before approaching Hong Kong on this

it would be advisable to obtain firmer details from

Dame Joan of exactly what is required.

3. I attach a draft Private Secretary letter to the

Secretary to Dame Joan Vickers.
