1. In my submission dated 25 June /set out the
programme of visits to Hong Kong for members of
Parliament as guests of the Hong Kong Government.
2. As Mr Royle is aware, Mr Goodhew, MP who was
scheduled to visit Hong Kong this summer, dropped out and he was replaced by Mr R W Elliotę we now hear
that Mr Fortesque, who was due to visit Hong Kong with
Mr Elliotthas also now dropped out. As none of
the MPS on the reserve list were able to accept the
invitation to replace Mr Fortesque at such short notice, Mr Walter Clegg has now been invited and
has accepted the invitation to visit Hong Kong in
