I hope that through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office you have got my reply to your kind cable. I am so sorry that there has been some delay in answering but I wanted to check up that it would be possible to get to Hong Kong via the Seychelles. I am hoping to leave London on the night of Wednesday, 18th April at 21.00 via Entebbe and Hairobi arriving at the Seychelles at 14.25 on Thursday, 19th. It would mean leaving the Seychelles at about 18.00 on Sunday, the 22nd arriving at Hong Kong at 08.10 hours on Monday, 23rd. Ikknow ~ that you are going to be away over Easter and it may be extremely tiresome but really all my wife and I would want to do is to relax that day and start our major run on the Tuesday morning, the 26th April, returning to Londou on the night of Monday, 30th.

I hope that this will fit in with your plans and that we can go to Government House quickly on the Monday without disrupting in any way your working plans.

H.E. Sir Murray MacLehose, KCMC., MBE.,

The Governor of Hong Kong,

Government House,

Hong Kong,

c.c. Mr. E.S. Bush

Mr. M.A. Goodfellow
