agree with your suggestion that the change should be made by administrative process. practical terms, departments here will be instructed forthwith to note the change in title but we shall not make any public announce- ment. If the new title does attract any interest locally, we will say something along the lines that you suggest. However, I think that this is unlikely and I doubt if the change will arouse comment.
