If the draft Immigration Regulations attached to this memorandum are approved by Honourable Members, it is proposed to seek the Governor's authority under section 1 of the Immigration Ordinance to bring the Ordinance, together with the subsidiary legis- lation, into force on 1st April 1972.

CONCLUSION

Honourable Members will be asked to advise under section 59 of the Immigration Ordinance (No 55 of 1971), whether the Immigration Regulations 1972, as at Annex A, should be made.
