The Council considered memorandum XCC(72)46.

The Council ADVISED and the Governor ORDERED:

(a) that the Immigration (Amendment) Bill 1972

be introduced into the Legislative Council; and

(b) that an extract from Immigration Department

Standing Orders, governing the submission to senior officers of cases in which the powers conferred by section 11(5)(a) or (b) are exercised to the detriment of an immigrant, be circulated to Members of Executive Council for information.
