There are 23 main categories of people entitled to be registered
as Urban Council voters. These include:

School and technical college certificate holders
University graduates and students
Taxpayers
* Ratepayers
* Civil servants
*
Teachers
* Doctors, nurses and midwives
*
Members of various professional bodies
* Members of the auxiliary services
To be eligible for registration as electors, people must also
be at least 21 years old by June 15 this year, and have lived in Hong
Kong for the past three years.
Altogether it is estimated that there are some 350,000 to 400,000
people eligible to register.
Application forms may be completed in either English or Chinese.
They are pre-addressed for sending by post to the Urban Council elections
registration officer. No stamp is required as the postage has already been
paid.
