Amend the Urban Council Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice

and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

Short title.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Urban Council

(Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance 1972.

Amendment of section 30.

2. Section 30 of the principal Ordinance is amended

(Cap. 101.) in subsection (1) by deleting paragraph (i) and substituting

the following

"(i) the voiding of a poll at a polling station

and the taking of a fresh poll;

(j) generally, the carrying into effect of the

provisions of this part of the Ordinance.".

Explanatory Memorandum

This Bill confers power on the Governor in Council

to make regulations providing for the voiding of a poll and

the taking of a fresh poll.
