TELEVISION.
1. The Television Ordinance is amended-
(1) in section 8, by inserting after subsection (3) the following new
subsection—
(4) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (2) and section 11 a licence may be granted to a company-
(a) which is a disqualified person,
(b) in which a disqualified person exercises con-
trol, or
(c) which is a disqualified person and in which another disqualified person exercises control,
and the licence may contain such conditions relating to the disqualified person and to the control exercised by him as the Governor in Council may see fit to impose under subsection (2). (Added, 33 of 1965, s. 2)
(2) in section 11-
2.
(a) by deleting paragraph (d) of subsection (1) and substituting
the following-
(d) no disqualified person may exercise control in a licensee company, other than a disqualified person whose disqualification was disclosed in the application for the licence; (Replaced, 33 of 1965, s. 3)
(e) no disqualified person who exercises control in a licensee company may increase such control either by reason of augmenting the percentage of voting shares of which he is the beneficial owner or by any change in the office held by him in the company. (Added, 33 of 1965, s. 3)
(b) by deleting subsection (2);
(c) in subsection (3), by deleting "section" and substituting
"Ordinance".
The Television (Standards of Programmes) Regulations are amended-
(1) in regulation 5, by deleting the marginal note and substituting
"News services.";
