enable its broadcasts to be received

satisfactorily in any area of Hong Kong

specified by the Television Authority.

(2) After consideration of any

proposals submitted to him under sub-

section (1), the Television Authority

may direct any licensee to ensure that

its broadcasts are capable of being

received to his satisfaction within

such area and within such time as he may

specify.".

Amendment of section 20.

11. Section 20 of the principal Ordinance is

amended by deleting subsections (2) and (3) and

substituting the following -

"(2) The Television Authority may, on the

advice of the Telecommunications Authority, issue

from time to time Codes of Practice relating to the

technical standards of broadcasts required to be

maintained by licensees.".

Addition of section 20A.

12. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding

the following after section 20

"Transmission facilities.

20A. (1) The Television Authority
