You wrote to me on 31 December 1971 (DUS(P)920/71) about the proposal to terminate the Dormant Commission issued to the Commander British Forces, Hong Kong.

The Queen has now approved the proposal to terminate the Commission. The Chief of the Defence Staff may therefore like to write to Commander British Forces, Hong Kong, letting him know that the Commission will shortly be withdrawn from him by the Governor.
