1. FCO telegrams 47 49 to Hong Kong report the conclusion of our meetings, but you might find it useful foryour files to have the attached copies of the two records I did covering the 5 days of meetings we had.

2. I am copying this minute and enclosures to Mr Laidler, with whom I discussed the general idea of an "EEC type approach" in dealing with Hong Kong textiles.
