HONG KONG'S STATUS IN GATT

As agreed at the meeting yesterday with a Hong Kong delegation I attach a draft letter to the UK Mission in Geneva, asking them to sound the GATT Secretariat on what we agreed at this meeting was the preferred solution to the problem of Hong Kong representation in GATT after the UK's entry into the EEC. I should be grateful for any comments by close of play on Friday 6 October.
