Sir Murray MacLehose has written to Mr Richard Harris of The Times telling him that he will be in London between 5 and 8 September and asking Mr Harris to dinner.

Mr Harris already has an engagement on the 5th but is free on the other evenings. He would prefer the 6th or 7th but could manage the 8th if that was the only day Sir Murray was free.

3.

Mr Harris is going on holiday tomorrow night for two weeks.
