1. Mr Wenban-Smith telephoned me yesterday afternoon to ask that Personnel Policy Department might be represented at any meeting we might have with Sir Murray MacLehose at which there is to be discussion of proposals for the new Dependent Territories Branch.

2. I said that this would probably be discussed at a meeting to be held in your room on Wednesday 6 eptember at 3.30 p.m. Would it be possible to discuss the new service first so that the PPD representative can then go away while the rest of the meeting discuss other items of common interest.
